I learned the term CANI many years ago from a man that I greatly admire. This giant of a man who literally towers over most of us at 6’7″ and is looked up to and emulated by millions of people for his Peak Performance System is Anthony Robbins. Robbins created the acronym CANI that stands for Constant And Never-ending Improvement.
CANI allows us to focus on the “Precious Present” and what we’re doing right here, right now, while still allowing us to keep an eye on the horizon. Through CANI we can focus on the present and improve one tiny aspect of our lives in the present-time every single day. Following this secret of success of constant small common improvements will enable us to achieve mastery in an uncommonly short time. These small improvements compounding into incredibly large improvements will push us much closer to the rainbow on the horizon than we have ever been before. Finally, we will learn to enjoy the “Precious Present,” and the long sought-after pot of gold will now seem within our reach. We will even begin to wonder why it ever seemed so far away in the first place.
Not a believer yet! Well, try it! You’ll see… Go ahead and make small incremental improvements daily in one chosen area of your life. Eventually, you will see how these constant small improvements force you out of your comfort zone, and drives you up and beyond your current set of self-imposed limitations. Trust me, you are going to become innovative and creative! The sky will become the limit. Nothing will be able to stop you.In addition, your competitors will soon find it difficult to keep up with your. Furthermore, your self-esteem and quality of life will soar! That sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? Yeah. I agree with you, it does! But, remember, you have to first believe and then you will be able to achieve this mastery I’m talking about and this quality of life that we can all enjoy.
Now teens and even tweens, go learn, lead, and lay the way to a better world for all of us. Thank those who have gone before us and shared life-improving wisdoms like the concept of CANI. Please do the following: Learn CANI well! Practice CANI well! Live CANI well! And once again, thanks for all the constant tiny things that you do, and all the constant tiny things that you will do…
